Yes, I’m due for an update….in way of an explanation of sorts, I received a bit of significant news which has taken up a good portion of my mental energy and time since last Wednesday. I’ll write about it tomorrow or Tuesday, but in the meantime I have a ghost sighting to share.

Last weekend, I watched a show on TLC about some family in Connecticut that moved into a house that was haunted by demons. As you can imagine, hilarity ensued. Since watching that show, I’ve become determined to locate and view a ghost….any ghost, I’m not picky. I googled “haunted places in Houston, Texas“, and discovered that one of the haunted spots is Treebeard’s restaurant in downtown. As luck would have it, my boss knows the owners and suggested we have lunch there on Friday. Excited, I told her about the ghost at Treebeard’s, and she asked one of the owners who said that some local ghost hunting troupe had taken pictures at the restaurant a few months back. Apparently, these people saw some orbs and other ghostly things in their photos. Fascinated by this, I brought a camera along to lunch on Friday and snapped my own photo from the 2nd floor dining room.

I’ve been told that my skeptical attitude is the reason I’ve never seen a ghost. Well, here is the photo I took on Friday. If you look closely, you can see a ghost hovering near the bar. Skeptical my ass.

By the way, the buttercake cookies at Treebeard’s are insanely good. I bought three.
