nightmares
- I woke up this morning in a panic. I thought it was Sunday morning instead of Saturday, and that I had missed the start of the Marathon. The first time, I went back to sleep….only to jump up again an hour later in the same panicked state. I tried going back to sleep, but I was too wired. It was 8:30am.

care packages
-
Some NYC friends sent the most awesome care package….a box crammed full of all sorts of thoughtful pre-Marathon goodies…..spaghetti, almonds, bath salts to soak my feet, lotion, chocolate for post-marathon celebrations, and lots of other surprises! It seriously made my day. Thanks Elaine & Yukari!
pasta par-tays
gear checklist
My race bib. #6237, baby!
Let’s hope my watch works tomorrow.
My Amphipod fuel belt, to carry my Cytomax. I can’t do Gatorade, and Cytomax rocks. At some race, Holden referred to my fuel belt as my “refreshments,” which I thought was hilarious.

CarbBoom is one of the only gels I can stand. I lost my love for GU.

In the spirit of shameless self-promotion, I wrote my name on my shirt. It’s pink, which I’m not too thrilled about, but it’ll make me easier to spot for friends and family. (I’m not wearing the HRB shirt because it just isn’t comfortable enough to wear for 26.2 miles)
Korean flags
-
If any of you see a huge Korean flag waving in the air at the finish line, that’s my family. It was my mom’s idea, and while I’m partly embarassed as one usually is with anything involving parents….I’m also really looking forward to seeing her waving that Korean flag. Yay mom!
Stridelines
- Check out the January issue of Stridelines for an article by yours truly. (Actually, it’s just a reprint of my Strider’s Longest Long Run report.) heh.
uglidolls
- And finally, more obligatory cat pics.

Ok, heading to bed.
