of random thoughts and pickled cabbage

This .gif comes from the Sesame Street website, and was colored by yours truly using the graphics powerhouse MS Paint.  Since one of my horoscopes (read below) refers to my creativity, I decided to use some creative license in coloring this picture.  While Grover is usually a dark blue, this Green Grover represents what would happen if Grover (F1) and Kermit (F1) were to bear a child. Unfortunately, Green Grover never got over being picked on by the other Muppet kids, and developed an ongoing alcohol problem which explains his bloodshot eyes and red nose.  Â
One of the only times I read horoscopes is on my birthday.  While I really like reading the descriptions of each sign (I fit the profile of the typical Aquarian), I don’t buy the idea that what happens to us in our daily lives is defined by big rocks (i.e., planets) spinning millions of miles away in outerspace. I do love my fortune cookies, though.Â
Anyways, in Western astrology, I’m an Aquarius:Â
Quickie:
Your creativity will rescue a grateful, overwhelmed coworker today. You’re a hero. [If anyone asks me to stay late today, the answer is no.]Overview:
That project you’ve been contemplating? It’s time to put it in motion. The stars emphasize fresh starts and exciting initiatives. Circumstances are particularly favorable to situations that require pioneering spirits. [I wonder if this means I'm supposed to finally get around to fixing those doors in my dining room.]
In Chinese astrology, I’m an Ox:
[photopress:highlandcow.jpg, thumb, centered]You’ll have real possibilities to point your destiny in the direction you wish. Therefore, remain vigilant, don’t miss any good opportunities, think carefully before making any decisions. In the family domain, you’ll live pleasurable moments in serene intimacy. You’ll forget your society activities so as to devote yourself wholly to your job; but things won’t all be easy. The energy that you possess now will incite you to try to dominate everyone, sometimes even to excess. [So, I'm going to be bossy today?]
Other people also celebrating a birthday today:
Tonight, I’m wandering out to the ‘burbs for a home-cooked Korean dinner with the family. yum. I imagine I’ll return with handfuls of free pens.

Wow, there are a lot of celebrities born on your birthday. I think the biggest celebrity born on my birthday is Captain Kangaroo.
Keith.
I hope Green Grover can get his act together someday.
